Grant Writer

Megan spent nine years as a copy editor before finally having the courage to call herself a writer. In 2020 she realized she wanted to pivot her career path and enter the nonprofit sector, and she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with Achieve Brown County (ABC). Thanks to ABC, she fell in love with grant writing as a means to advance the work of organizations fighting for equity.

As a grant writer, Megan spent a year with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay and maintained a robust portfolio of federal, state, private foundation, and corporate foundation grants. She is excited to continue her work as a grant writer to help grow the Fork Farms Foundation and help bring equity to the global food system by empowering communities to grow their own local, fresh food.

Megan lives in Hobart with her husband Matt and their two daughters. Her favorite hobby is thrifting for vintage children’s clothing, and her favorite community event is the Green Bay Vintage Market.
