Education

Fork Farms believes that growing your own food promotes healthy eating habits and a close connection to the living world around us. Children, particularly in urban areas, often don’t have the space or time to learn to grow food outdoors. Our grow machine, placed in schools, gives children the opportunity to learn about agriculture, and at the same time, the machines provide nutritious food to encourage healthy eating habits that pay a lifetime of benefits.

Included with our grow machines, we can provide lesson plans that help students understand how the machines work and how to grow a variety of crops. Students can easily maintain the machines, with limited supervision, and crops grow quickly – giving students the pleasure of seeing the literal fruits of their labor without having to wait an entire summer. Or winter for that matter – our indoor growing machine can operate year round.

If you are interested in learning more what we can offer or want to partner with us to provide an educational program in your area, please contact us at 920-257-1380.
